Implants are a common part of almost every clinical practice and are being utilized in a variety of clinical situations. Unfortunately, patients often present for treatment that have existing implant restorations that are less than ideal. The clinical challenge is not only determining the etiology for the un-esthetic implant, but also how to best manage the situation with the treatment options that are available. This presentation will focus on the evaluation and management of patients with un-esthetic single tooth implant in the esthetic zone.

About The Speakers:

 

Greggory Kinzer, DDS, MSD received his DDS degree from the University of Washington in 1995, and an MSD and certificate in Prosthodontics in 1998. Committed to advancing the art and science of restorative dentistry, Dr. Kinzer is an internationally recognized speaker and serves as a full time faculty and Director of Curriculum and Clinical Education for Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ. In addition, Dr. Kinzer has written numerous articles and chapters and serves on the editorial review board for various dental publications. He maintains a private practice in Seattle, WA limited to comprehensive restorative and esthetic dentistry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jim Janakievski, DDS, MSD received his DDS from the University of Toronto, which was followed by a general practice residency. After several years in general practice, he completed his post-graduate training at the University of Washington, where he received a certificate in Periodontology with a MSD degree and a fellowship in Prosthodontics. Dr. Janakievski is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is a reviewer for several dental journals and has published in the area of interdisciplinary dentistry, dental implants and tooth autotransplantation. Dr. Janakievski maintains an academic position with the University of Washington where he served as assistant director of the Graduate Periodontics program and is currently an affiliate assistant professor. Dr. Janakievski teaches at Spear Education in Scottsdale Arizona. In addition, he participates in practice based clinical research through the McGuire Institute. He maintains a private practice in Tacoma, Washington.
