All-Ceramic Restorations / How to Handle Chairside Adjustments After Try-In

Ideally, restorations would be final cement in place without any adjustments, but in actual clinical practice, various modifications are often necessary before placement. This course will explain, step by step, the correct selection of materials and procedures to avoid failure, how to modify including color correction, occlusal and inter-proximal contact of zirconia and emax restorations.

- How to stain and glaze to sifting Hue, Chroma and Value
- Minor shade sifting using different color cement
- Occlusal and Inter-proximal Contact Adjustment
- Which material to add porcelain
- Which adjustment tool to grind and polishing the surface

Aki Yoshida, RDT
Aki Yoshida is a Master Ceramist with many years of experience in all aspects of Dental Technology. His passion and the talent that he brings to the industry have been widely recognized.
Aki is owner-operator of Gnathos Dental Studio in Weston,
Massachusetts USA. The laboratory, originally founded by Dr. Lloyd L. Miller, is an innovative quality driven dental lab consistently producing the highest level of dental restorations.
Aki graduated from the Dental Technician School
of Nihon University in Tokyo Japan. He was technical instructor at Tufts University, Dept. of Post-Graduate Prosthodontics in Boston, Adjunct faculty for Center for Esthetic dentistry at UCLA. He was also a Lecturer at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
He was past president of SCAD (Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry) 2019~2021.
He is a Fellow Member and currently an executive board member and treasurer of the AAED (American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry). He is also an instructor for Kuraray Noritake
Dental Supply.
Aki has presented numerous hands-on courses and lectures throughout the United States, South America, Europe and Asia.
