Presenter: Dr. Newton Fahl Abstract: Composite resins are the ideal material for restoring fractures in the anterior dentition because of the conservative nature and the esthetics afforded by the technique. As a result, direct layering has grown in acceptance among clinicians who enjoy the artistry involved in the procedure. There are, however, a few challenges with the direct approach, which include margins finishing and polishing, proximal contact establishment, and control over the final anatomy. The direct-indirect technique comprises benefits of both direct layering and indirect restorations through the use of state-of-the-art restorative composite resins and effective adhesive luting techniques. In this live presentation, Dr. Fahl will showcase the restoration of a badly fractured maxillary central incisor, demonstrating the steps from shade selection to luting a large Class IV direct-indirect restoration. Objectives: - Becoming acquainted with the Direct-Indirect Technique
- Selecting the restorative composites and performing a histoanatomical layering in a large Class IV
- Applying the Direct-Indirect technique to solve anterior trauma cases
